I am a writer, speaker, and researcher in the fields of religious and cultural studies. In the past I have written and spoken about the religiously unaffiliated, the rise and decline of mainline Protestantism, paranormal belief, and alternative religious practices. I am currently writing a book on America’s growing obsession with Halloween.
I am originally from Florida, but I currently reside in Austin, TX with my wife and our two cats, Sebastian and Wednesday
